Thickness reduction - alesco seeks to further reduce product thickness in the future

35 percent thinner film means saving 600 tonnes of raw material in just two years. Or when calculated in terms of truckloads: 60 fewer articulated truckloads of transported raw material and delivered finished film.

These figures demonstrate to alesco’s larger customers, just how important on-going thickness reductions are both for the protection of the environment and the climate.

That is why we, at alesco, are looking at how we can extrude our film so that it is even thinner, whilst still retaining (or even improving) its quality. Modern developments in raw material production, together with our own research in the extrusion of COEX films, are making this possible.
